Program notes
Jazzy Tune is part of a collection of educational works written with the beginner pianist in mind, along with Lullaby, Jumpin’ Jack, Dance Fairy and so on, performed in student recitals too many times to recount here. These pieces were initially written in Columbia, South Carolina at Eau Claire High School for my piano students. I am particularly fond of my time and former students there and I still consider it, to this day, one of the very best parts of my life.
